Manly Vale Public School canteen has been approved as a "Healthy Choice Canteen" by the NSW Govt. A healthy school canteen supports a 'whole-of-school' approach to student health and wellbeing, and reinforces healthy eating messages taught in the classroom. The NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy supports a culture of healthy eating in school by:
promoting and increasing student access to healthier foods and drinks
decreasing student access to less healthy food and drinks
supporting water as a drink of choice
making a healthy choice an easy choice.
We always welcome new volunteers to our canteen – mums, dads, grandparents and carers all welcome! Your child will love having you in the canteen while you provide a critical service for our school community and have a great day catching up on what is happening at school.
Note: Unfortunately, for WHS reasons, no children are permitted in the canteen.
